Non-porous, very hard fabrics. Wheel-thrown. Glazed. Decoration includes applied moulded decoration: medallions, face masks, heraldic arms. Raeren: 1450-1500; thumbed based jugs, grey fabric. Köln: 1500-1550; foot ringed jugs, applied moulded decoration, grey fabric. Frechen; 1550-1680s foot ringed jugs, often a distinct neck/body angle with a cordon. Later vessels have face masks (Belarmines).
