Fabric
Inclusionless, iron-free fabric, fires cream. Tin glaze (often lead glaze on underside of plates) often flaking off body. Usually Wheel-thrown. Includes 'Manganese Delft ware' which has tin glaze with speckled purple colouring from added manganese, seventeenth-eighteenth century.
Form
plates (seventeenth- eighteenth century), small drug pots ('albarellos') (sixteenth-eighteenth century), chamber pots (eighteenth century).
Decoration
painted, under-glaze designs in blue, yellow and purple on white.
