Gloucester pottery fabric type series

Fabric: Fabric as TF40 but often finer (fewer and smaller inclusions). Handmade or Wheel-thrown, oxidized or reduced.
Form: tripod pitchers (fabric characteristically sandy) with rouletted decoration on body and rim, tubular spouts and rod handles (from mid. twelfth century);.later (early thirteenth century) examples have strap handles, and pulled spouts. Bridge-spouted jugs with thumbed bases (thirteenth and fourteenth century). Baluster jugs (fourteenth- fifteenth century). Smaller jugs with pulled spouts and oval cross-sectioned handles and plain bases (fifteenth-sixteenth century). Shallow dishes and rectangular meat dishes (fourteenth-fifteenth century). Internally-glazed cooking pots (fourteenth-fifteenth century). Footed ladles (sixteenth century). Large bowls (sixteenth-seventeenth century). Lobed cups (fifteenth-sixteenth century). Wide mouth jars sixteenth-seventeenth century). Chafing dishes (fifteenth-sixteenth century). Also roof furniture.
